This is my job, this is what I do, this is a huge part of who I am. I support my vendors. Today some vendors turned out and supported me. 1 vendor in particular made a public post: @leannecampbellbailey from Life's Little Luxuries by Leanne
I just spent sometime on the Medicine Hat News site, reading comments and concerns regarding the newest ## of COVID cases in the Medicine Hat area and the calls to have upcoming UNNECESSARY Christmas Markets shut down immediately. Unfortunately I find it difficult not to voice my opinion so, I thought I would share my post.

I can't speak to midnight madness or people shopping at Walmart, Costco, others stores and shopping malls or the safety precautions in place there or even at all upcoming christmas markets BUT I am a vendor at the upcoming Something For Everyone Market and let me assure you that the organizer not only follows EVERY guideline that AHS has put out there but has implemented many much stricter than asked to and so have the vendors.

Entry #'s are strictly controlled as is social distancing, sanitizer stations are everywhere, washrooms are disinfected after every use, handling of product is strongly discouraged, barriers are up to prevent customers from meeting face to face and so on!

We vendors are MANDATED to wear masks and follow those guidelines as she has laid out or DON'T COME!! .. I wear a mask, AND a face shield AND have a plexi glass barrier. I control the ## of people in my very large booth, I have face masks, wipes and sanitizers available, tons of signage and staff to assure that product is not touched, unless sanitizer is used before AND after.

What we CAN NOT control are the people who REFUSE to wear a mask.. that has to be MANDATED by the city!

Believe me, I as a vendor and the organizers of this upcoming market are doing everything to ensure that customers are safe. I personally would love to be able to refuse entry to those who refuse to wear a mask and follow the guidelines- in short, to ask them to please stay home.
